Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to paid bookings and other paid services offered through Yogapedia India.
The specific cancellation conditions displayed at the time of booking may also apply to an individual service.
2. Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed when:
1. The booking has been accepted/confirmed through the platform; and
2. Where payment is required, the required payment has been successfully received.
3. Learner Cancellation
Unless a different cancellation policy is clearly displayed for a particular service:
Cancellation more than 24 hours before the session
The learner may be eligible for a full refund of the booking amount.
Cancellation between 12 and 24 hours before the session
The learner may be eligible for a 75% refund of the booking amount.
Cancellation less than 12 hours before the session
The booking will generally be non-refundable, except where the teacher agrees otherwise or where applicable law requires a refund.
Learner no-show
If a learner fails to attend a confirmed session without reasonable notice, the booking will generally be non-refundable.
4. Teacher Cancellation
If a teacher cancels a confirmed paid session and the session cannot be rescheduled at a mutually acceptable time, the learner will generally be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid for that session.
5. Teacher No-Show
If a teacher fails to attend a confirmed session without reasonable notice, the learner should contact Yogapedia India as soon as possible.
Depending on the circumstances, Yogapedia India may offer:
- Rescheduling;
- Full refund; or
- Another reasonable resolution.
6. Rescheduling
Learners and teachers may request to reschedule a session.
Rescheduling is subject to the availability of both parties.
Repeated rescheduling or last-minute requests may be treated as cancellations under this policy.
7. Introductory Video Interaction
Yogapedia India may facilitate a 30-minute introductory video interaction between a learner and teacher.
Unless a fee is specifically displayed, this interaction is free for the learner and no teacher fee is payable.
Because this interaction is generally free, there is no monetary refund applicable to the introductory interaction.
8. Technical Problems
If a paid session cannot reasonably take place because of a significant technical issue attributable to the platform, the parties may be offered rescheduling or another appropriate resolution.
Users should first attempt reasonable troubleshooting, including checking their internet connection, device, microphone and camera.
9. Exceptional Circumstances
Yogapedia India may consider refund or rescheduling requests arising from exceptional circumstances such as:
- Serious emergencies
- Hospitalisation
- Major technical failures
- Duplicate payments
- Incorrect charges
- Other circumstances that reasonably prevent the session from taking place
Supporting information may be requested where appropriate.
10. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will normally be initiated through the original payment method.
The time required for the refund to appear in the learner’s bank account or payment instrument may depend on the payment gateway, bank or payment network.
11. Non-Refundable Amounts
Where clearly disclosed before payment and permitted by applicable law, certain third-party or processing charges may not be refundable.
Any such charge will be communicated before the learner completes payment.
12. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email:
Please include:
- Learner name
- Booking/reference ID
- Teacher name
- Scheduled date and time
- Payment reference, if available
- Reason for cancellation/refund
13. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Learners are encouraged to contact Yogapedia India first so that we can review the issue and attempt to resolve it.
This does not restrict any rights available to the learner under applicable law or the rules of their payment provider.
14. Teacher Settlement
Where Yogapedia India collects payment on behalf of a platform booking, teacher settlement will be handled according to the applicable teacher agreement and commercial arrangement.
Yogapedia India may adjust settlement amounts for approved refunds, reversals, applicable platform fees or other authorised adjustments.
15. Policy Changes
Yogapedia India may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.
The policy applicable to a booking will generally be the policy communicated to the learner at the time of booking, subject to applicable law.
