About Yogapedia India

Yogapedia India is a yoga teacher discovery and booking platform operated by Nikita Enterprises.

Yogapedia India helps learners discover, compare and connect with yoga teachers and other yoga professionals based on factors such as location, yoga style, experience, qualifications, teaching format, availability and individual requirements.

At present, Yogapedia India is a Govt.trademarked brand/venture operated by Nikita Enterprises and is not a separate incorporated legal entity. Soon it will be a LLP in coming years

Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using Yogapedia India, submitting information,

creating a profile, contacting a teacher, requesting an introductory interaction, making a booking or making a payment through the platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the platform.

Role of Yogapedia India

Yogapedia India operates as a discovery, connection and booking platform.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, Yogapedia India does not itself provide yoga instruction or act as the employer of any teacher listed on the platform.

Teachers listed on Yogapedia India are independent professionals responsible for the services they provide to learners.

Yogapedia India may provide tools and services for:

• Teacher discovery
• Teacher profiles
• Teacher verification
• Learner enquiries
• Introductory interactions
• Booking and scheduling
• Payment processing
• Communication and reminders
• Reviews, feedback and platform support

Teacher Profiles and Verification

Teachers are responsible for providing accurate information about their qualifications, certifications, experience, teaching methods, location, availability and services.

Yogapedia India may review information and documents submitted by teachers and may display a verification indicator where applicable.

A verification badge means that Yogapedia India has completed the verification process applicable to that particular profile.

It does not constitute a guarantee of the teacher’s professional competence, teaching outcome, medical suitability or personal conduct.

Learners should independently review a teacher’s profile and make their own decision before booking.

Learner Responsibility

Learners are responsible for choosing a teacher and service that is appropriate for their individual needs.

Before participating in yoga or any physical activity, learners should consider their own health, fitness level, injuries, pregnancy status, medical conditions and other relevant circumstances.

Where appropriate, learners should consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing a physical activity or yoga practice.

Learners must provide a teacher with information that is reasonably necessary for conducting a session safely.

Yoga Is Not Medical Treatment

Unless a person is appropriately qualified and legally authorised to provide healthcare services, yoga teachers listed on the platform should not represent yoga instruction as a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

Yogapedia India does not guarantee that yoga or any teacher’s services will cure, treat, prevent or improve a particular medical condition.

Introductory Sessions

Yogapedia India may facilitate a 30-minute introductory video interaction between a learner and teacher.

The purpose of the introductory interaction is to allow the learner and teacher to understand each other’s requirements, teaching approach, suitability and expectations.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, the introductory interaction is free for the learner and no teacher fee is payable for this introductory interaction.

The timing of the introductory interaction will be mutually agreed between the learner and teacher.

Bookings

Where paid booking is available, the learner may select an available teacher, service, date and time.

A booking is confirmed only after the platform confirms the booking and, where payment is required, successful payment has been received.

A teacher may be required to approve a booking depending on the booking workflow used by Yogapedia India.

Fees and Payments

The applicable price will be displayed before the learner completes payment.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

Yogapedia India does not intentionally store payment credentials such as card numbers, CVV numbers, UPI PINs or banking passwords.

Payment processing is subject to the terms and policies of the applicable payment provider.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Yogapedia India Refund & Cancellation Policy published on the website.

Additional cancellation conditions may be displayed before a particular booking is completed.

Teacher Independence

Teachers listed on Yogapedia India are independent professionals.

Nothing on the platform creates an employer-employee relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, agency or other employment relationship between Yogapedia India/Nikita Enterprises and a teacher.

Teachers independently determine, subject to applicable platform arrangements:

• Their teaching methodology
• Availability
• Class/session format
• Online or offline services
• Professional fees
• Teaching location
• Professional scope

Teachers are responsible for their own applicable taxes, licences, registrations, professional insurance and legal obligations.

User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information.
• Impersonate another person.
• Harass, threaten or abuse another user or teacher.
• Use the platform for unlawful activities.
• Attempt to compromise the security of the website.
• Upload content that infringes another person’s rights.
• Misuse personal information obtained through the platform.
• Make fraudulent bookings or payment claims.
• Use the platform to make inappropriate or unlawful solicitations.

Teacher Conduct

Teachers agree to:

• Provide accurate professional information.
• Maintain professional conduct with learners.
• Teach within their qualifications and competence.
• Respect learner privacy.
• Avoid false medical or health claims.
• Follow applicable laws and professional requirements.
• Honour confirmed bookings.
• Inform learners promptly of unavoidable cancellations or delays.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

Reviews and Feedback

Learners may be permitted to submit reviews or feedback regarding their experience.

Reviews must be genuine and must not contain abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, threatening or knowingly false information.

Yogapedia India may remove content that violates its policies or applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The Yogapedia India name, logo, website design, original written content, graphics and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to Nikita Enterprises unless otherwise stated.

Users and teachers retain ownership of content they independently create and submit, subject to the licences granted to Yogapedia India for operating and promoting the platform.

Teacher Content

By submitting photographs, videos, biographies, professional information or other promotional material to Yogapedia India, a teacher grants Yogapedia India a non-exclusive licence to display, reproduce, format and promote that material for the purposes of operating and marketing the platform.

The teacher remains responsible for ensuring that submitted content does not infringe another person’s rights.

Platform Availability

Yogapedia India aims to maintain a reliable platform but does not guarantee that the website or all features will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

The platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, updates, security incidents or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Limitation of Responsibility

Yogapedia India provides a platform for discovery and connection between learners and independent yoga professionals.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Yogapedia India is not responsible for the independent professional services provided by a teacher, including the teacher’s advice, conduct, teaching methods or representations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Suspension or Removal

Yogapedia India may suspend, restrict or remove a user account, teacher profile, listing or content where it reasonably believes there has been:

• Fraud or attempted fraud
• Misrepresentation
• Serious misconduct
• Safety concerns
• Violation of these Terms
• Unlawful activity
• Repeated cancellation or no-show behaviour
• Misuse of the platform

Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Yogapedia India Privacy Policy.

By using the platform, users acknowledge that their information may be processed for providing the requested platform services, subject to applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

Yogapedia India may update these Terms from time to time as the platform develops or legal requirements change.

The updated version will be published on the website with a revised effective date.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Subject to mandatory rights available to consumers and other applicable laws, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts having jurisdiction over the operator.
